This historic structure in Washington, DC presented several challenges that were easily met by Acadia’s design, manufacturing and installation personnel. Not only did Acadia have to meet the requirements of the owner group but also had to stay within the requirements the neighborhood demanded. A job well done by Acadia.
The Historic Old Mill buildings owners were very concerned with the appearance and energy demands of this structure. They wanted white windows with grids and a large white frame around the openings. Acadia manufactured and installed energy efficient single hung windows with a standard grid pattern to meet the curb appeal demands. The surround was constructed from white aluminum to compliment the windows. The end result was extreme efficiency, extraordinary appearance and coupled with a nearly maintenance free build quality, the owner was completely satisfied.
